TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Muscat Airport

• Upon your arrival at Muscat Airport, a representative will be there to meet you
• They will assist you with your baggage & arrange for your transfer to your hotel in Muscat
• Take the rest of the day to relax & settle into your accommodation

Day 2: Muscat City Tour – Drive to Nizwa

• After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, embark on a captivating half-day city tour of Muscat
• Begin by visiting the awe-inspiring Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in Oman, renowned for its stunning architecture & intricate details
• Next, delve into the rich Omani heritage at the Bait Al Zubair Museum; explore the remarkable collection of antiques, traditional weaponry, and more, providing a fascinating glimpse into the country’s history
• As you drive through old Muscat, with majestic mountains as the backdrop, you will pass by the historic Jalali and Mirani Forts; marvel at the Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos
• Make a stop at the vibrant Muttrah Souq, located in the bustling port area of Muttrah; immerse yourself in its lively atmosphere and wander through shops offering traditional goods, spices, handicrafts, and more
• During the tour, enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant; in the afternoon, depart for Nizwa, approximately a 2.5-hour scenic drive; upon arrival, check in at your hotel and indulge in a delicious dinner

Day 3: Nizwa Tour – Jabrin – Misfat Al Abryeen – Jabal Shams

• Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel then begin your exploration of Nizwa by visiting the famous Round Tower Fort, a magnificent architectural masterpiece dating back to the 17th century
• Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Nizwa Souq, known for its intricately hand-carved Khanjars (daggers) and exquisite silver jewelry; if your visit falls on a Friday, you’ll have the unique opportunity to witness the lively cattle auction that takes place in the souq
• Continue your journey to Jabrin Castle, one of Oman’s finest castles; marvel at the stunning ceiling paintings & intricate woodcarvings that adorn the castle
• Make a photo stop at Bahla Fort and then proceed to Misfat Al Abryeen, a picturesque traditional village nestled amidst stunning landscapes
• Next, head to Jabal Shams, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, and be captivated by its breathtaking beauty
• Check in at the camp, where you will spend the night; enjoy a delightful dinner and immerse yourself in the tranquility of your surroundings

Day 4: Al Hamra – Birkat Al Mauz – Wahiba Sands

• After a satisfying breakfast in the camp, check out and proceed to Al Hamra for a viewpoint photo stop; take in the panoramic vistas & capture its beauty
• Visit the fascinating Bait Al Safa Museum, which provides insights into the local culture and heritage; explore the exhibits & learn more about the traditions & customs of Oman
• Continue your journey to Birkat Al Mauz, also known as the village of clay; discover the traditional architecture & immerse yourself in the charm of this historic village
• Then, drive to Wahiba Sands, a mesmerizing desert renowned for its stunning sand dunes and experience the thrill of dune bashing
• In the evening, check in at the camp in Wahiba Sands, where you will spend the night
• Indulge in a traditional Arabic meal, Omani coffee, and enjoy the warm hospitality of the desert camp

Day 5: Wahiba Sands – Wadi Bani Khalid – Sur – Muscat

• After a delicious breakfast at the camp, begin the day by visiting a Bedouin House, where you will gain insight into the traditional lifestyle of the Bedouin people; here, you may even have the option of going for a camel ride!
• Continue your journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, a stunning valley known for its crystal-clear pools & lush greenery; take a refreshing dip in the cool waters or simply relax on the palm-fringed shores
• Afterward, drive to the coastal town of Sur; make a photo stop at the iconic Al Ayjah Tower, and visit the Dhow building yard, where traditional Omani wooden fisher boats are still crafted by hand
• As you drive back to Muscat, make a stop at the Bimah Sinkhole, a natural wonder formed by a collapsed mountain and filled with stunning blue-green seawater
• In the evening, return to Muscat and check in at your hotel; enjoy your last night in Oman at your leisure

Day 6: Departure from Muscat

• Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and check out by 12 pm
• Depending on your flight time, a representative will arrange for your comfortable transfer to Muscat Airport
