• A Diwali buffet at Rasa, Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, a proper Festival of Lights spread of vegetarian Indian cooking rather than a handful of dishes.
• It opens with a flavored lassi and the chaat-counter starters, paani puri, samosa chaat, dahi vada, paneer tikka and mixed pakora, then moves into the mains: paneer tikka masala, dal makhani, vegetable jalfrezi, bhindi masala and more, with jeera rice, fresh parathas and all the accompaniments (raita, papad, pickles, mint chutney).
