• Scaling is a dental process that involves the removal of calculus deposits like plaque and tartar on the teeth
• Polishing, on the other hand, removes surface stains on the teeth and leaves them shiny and smooth, putting the finishing touches on a protective dental treatment
• Scaling and Polishing are two of the most common dental procedures intended for prophylaxis (or prevention of disease)
