• Softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage – this adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation
• It relieves physical and emotional stress and it can have other medical and therapeutic uses; it is known to help with reducing joint pains and stiffness and has also been known to help those with osteoarthritis

Option 3: Hot Stone Massage

• A specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of his or own hands, or by placing them on the body
• The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly
• The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body
