TRAVEL ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

• Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a friendly representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel
• After check-in, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your tour guide and discuss your travel plans
• Feel free to unwind or explore the vibrant neighborhood of Thamel & spend the rest of your night in Kathmandu

 

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Drive to Nagarkot

• After an early breakfast, you will embark on a brief sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city; accompanied by your tour guide, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath Stupa
• The historical Kathmandu Valley is home to seven of the eleven UNESCO sites in Nepal; these sites are filled with monuments & scriptures containing high architectural and religious value
• Afterward, you will embark on a scenic road journey to Nagarkot, a popular hill station located 32km northeast of Kathmandu
• There is a view tower in Nagarkot from where you can see the amazing Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges
• Spend the rest of your night in a hotel in Nagarkot

 

Day 3: Drive from Nagarkot to Chitwan

• Today, you will wake up early to climb a small ridge to reach a local view tower at Nagarkot from where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise along with the majestic panorama of serene mountains namely Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Everest, and Shisha Pangma ranges
• After breakfast, you will embark on a road journey to the southern region of Nepal; Chitwan is located in the Terai region of Nepal which is known for its warm weather, and the Chitwan National Park
• It lies 148km south of Kathmandu and goes through the serpentine road along the massive Trishuli River
• Once at Chitwan, you will encounter a large expanse of rich tropical evergreen forests
• Spend the rest of your night in a hotel in Chitwan

 

Day 4: Full-Day Jungle Safari in Chitwan

• You will embark on an adventure-filled jungle safari inside the Chitwan National Park, the oldest and largest national park in Nepal
• Established in 1973, it was granted the status of UNESCO Heritage Site in 1984; it formerly served as the rich hunting ground for royals, expats, and hunting enthusiasts; today the park is a sanctuary for hundreds of exotic wildlife such as the endangered species of the Royal Bengal Tiger and One-horned Rhinoceros 
• Afterward, you will take a tour of the nearby ethnic Tharu village, pay a visit to the nearby Elephant & Crocodile Breeding Center
• Spend the rest of your night in a hotel in Chitwan

 

Day 5: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini

• After breakfast, you will leave Chitwan and embark on a scenic road journey to Lumbini, located 100km west of Chitwan and is renowned for being the birth site of Gautam Buddha
• It may take over 5 hours to cross the road to Lumbini which goes through the Mechi-Mahakali Highway and passes along the regional towns of Narayngarh, Butwal, and Bhairahawa
• The UNESCO Heritage Site of Mayadevi Temple, the 3rd BC Ashoka Pillar, the Bodhi Tree, and numerous Buddhist stupas are a few of the highlights of Lumbini
• Spend the rest of your night in a hotel in Lumbini

 

Day 6: Explore Lumbini and Drive to Pokhara

• Today, you will embark on a journey that explores the 3rd BC structure of the Mayadevi temple, one of the popular tourist landmarks in the area
• It describes the exact birth site of Gautam Buddha; the Mayadevi pond and the sacred Banyan tree are other highlights of this area
• Another popular tourist attraction here is the Ashoka Pillar built by Emperor Ashoka in 3rd BC
• Leaving Lumbini, you will head 169km north to the popular tourist city of Pokhara which may take 5-6 hours
• Lying close to the Annapurna Conservation Area, Pokhara serves as the gateway to the treks in the Annapurna region
• Spend the rest of your night in Pokhara

 

Day 7: Pokhara City Exploration

• Today, you will embark on a guided tour of the Pokhara city
• There are many places to see around Pokhara, you can visit the Peace Pagoda situated atop a hill overlooking the entire Pokhara city
• Some of the adventure-filled activities in Pokhara are boating at Phewa Lake, cycling, paragliding, bungee jumping, and visiting Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, Gurkha Museum, Bat Cave, & International Mountain Museum
• Pokhara also offers great choices of restaurants and bars which remain open till late at night
• Spend the rest of your night in Pokhara

 

Day 8: Return from Pokhara to Kathmandu

• Bid farewell to Pokhara’s stunning views and return to Kathmandu
• Enjoy the scenic journey and the sights of Annapurna & Machhapuchhre mountains
• After reaching Kathmandu, you’ll have time for a stroll or last-minute shopping
• Overnight in Kathmandu

 

Day 9: Departure from Kathmandu

• A representative will ensure you reach Tribhuvan International Airport with ample time for your departure flight
