- Microneedling, also known as derma rolling & vampire facial, is a cosmetic procedure that involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production which, when healed, helps one look younger!
- Microneedling helps with a number of skin issues which include:
- Acne
- Hair Loss/Alopecia
- Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation)
- Large pores
- Reduced skin elasticity
- Scars
- Stretch marks
- Sun damage
- Fine lines, wrinkles & more!
- Procedure:
- Numbing cream will be applied onto the face
- The doctor will then use a pen-shaped tool with tiny needles to prick the skin; the needles will make small cuts in the skin, which may cause a bit of bleeding
- The doctor may apply a special cream or serum onto the face after needling to maximize the effects of the treatment
NOTES:
- The recommended interval for each session is every 2 weeks for an average total of 6 sessions in 3 months
- The procedure usually takes 10-20 minutes, depending on how big the area of treatment is; most people need 4-6 treatments to see a difference
