- Dry Needling is a treatment technique that utilizes thin, solid filament needles to deactivate and desensitize the myofascial trigger points, or the knots in muscles and tissue that cause pain, decreased flexibility, and decreased function
- Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability; it helps with back pain or a sudden injury, managing long-term medical conditions such as asthma and in preparing for childbirth or a sporting event
- Depending on the reason for treatment, the benefits of physical therapy include:

- Each session is preceded by a consultation with the physiotherapist where you will be advised which type of physio suits you best
- Types of Physiotherapy:
- Infrared: include the use of infrared rays, which improve blood circulation and provide pain relief and relaxation for the muscles
- TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): a non-invasive technique used to relieve pain; TENS inhibits onward transmission of nociceptive (pain-related) information in the central nervous system and is beneficial for acute and chronic pain
- Ultrasound: carried out by placing the head of an ultrasound probe in direct contact with your skin via a transmission coupling gel; therapeutic ultrasound has been known to cause an increase in healing rates, tissue relaxation, local blood flow and scar tissue breakdown
