- Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function to people affected by injury, illness or disability; it helps with back pain or a sudden injury, managing long-term medical conditions such as asthma and in preparing for childbirth or a sporting event
- Depending on the reason for treatment, the benefits of physical therapy include:
- Pain management
- Improved mobility and movement
- Recovery from injury or trauma
- Fall prevention

- Management of age-related medical problems
- Each session is preceded by a consultation with the physiotherapist where you will be advised which type of physio suits you best
- Types of Physiotherapy:
- Infrared: include the use of infrared rays, which improve blood circulation and provide pain relief and relaxation for the muscles
- TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): a non-invasive technique used to relieve pain; TENS inhibits onward transmission of nociceptive (pain-related) information in the central nervous system and is beneficial for acute and chronic pain
- Ultrasound: carried out by placing the head of an ultrasound probe in direct contact with your skin via a transmission coupling gel; therapeutic ultrasound has been known to cause an increase in healing rates, tissue relaxation, local blood flow and scar tissue breakdown
- Duration of Each Session: 30mins
- Sessions will be carried out by female therapists
