- Shirodhara is a form of ancient Indian ayurvedic therapy in which warm oil is poured in a continuous stream over the forehead or Ajna Marma or the third eye, an area where nerves are highly concentrated. The oil saturates into the forehead and scalp and penetrates into the nervous system .
